This will help you get on the right track and a great place to start using AdSense without all the worry of placing ads and getting lots of traffic.

For google adsense you need to have a website or a blog of your own. You can create a blog free of cost from blogger.com. If you already have blog or website of your own you have to create a google adsense account. When google approves your adsense account you will get ads from google which are related to your website content. You will a cheque after every month depending on the number of clicks on the ads placed on your website/blog by google. Dont forget to vote for me. http://www.afordinfo.com/
Google adsense ads are a great way to make a legitimate income. It is NOT a get rich quick scheme. This is what you need to get started.
1. A website or blog. Do not use free websites or hosting.
A website name (domain name) and hosting will cost about $ 15.00 maybe $ 20.00 per month. Where else can you start a business with $ 20.00 dollars per month?
2. You will need to learn HTML (hyper text machine language) and FTP (file transfer protocol). Learning these programs are not as hard as seems.
3. Once you have a working knowledge of the above you will then be able to put the google adsense code in your website or blog.
4. You will not get rich…but in time you could make a second income eventually maybe full time.
5. Once you reach $ 100.00 in income they will send you a check or direct deposit.
You will need your own web page or web site. I recommend purchasing your own domain, but it is possible to place ads on free web pages with domain’s you do not own.
You can find very affordable (7 US dollars and up) domain names on a great many sites. Just do a search and you’ll see a lot of them. They will guide you through the process; and many of them also offer free hosting with the option to upgrade to paid hosting. The greatest amount of flexibility in administering your website will be had by using paid web hosting (I am getting ready to upgrade to paid hosting). But you do not neet to do that right at first when you are just learning.
If you purchase your own domain, you may still choose to use free web hosting. In most cases you are allowed to place Google ads on the free sites. Read the Adsense terms of service carefully and also read their help forum where Google staff answer questions about that exact subject. https://www.google.com/adsense/support/?sourceid=aso&subid=ww-ww-et-asui&medium=link
However you decide to host your web page(s), after you have them designed and published (your hosting company, free or paid will help you with this), you can apply for an Adsense account. Once you are approved for an account it is quite easy to place the ads on your pages. A little trial and error is required to get them to appear just right.
Making money with your ads is not as easy. You will need to to quite a bit of work to market your site and get traffic to it. If you are simply setting up a site so that you can place ads, then your chances of actually making money are not that great. You need to be enthusiastic enough about your subject to spend a lot of time developing good content for your site.
Realistic high end numbers I have heard for effectively placed Adsense ads on websites that get a good amount of traffic are 3 or 4 hundred US dollars a month. But, remember, a lot of labor is invested before one sees this kind of return.
I am writing a series of blog articles on the subject of developing my science website. If you are interested, you can read them at http://www.MyScienceWebsite.net. You’ll see that I am using Google ads there. I have some UTube ad videos too.
You will begin to understand all this much better when you get started. There are many people willing to help.
Best of luck to you!
Margaret
